  • Mini graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Government College of Nursing at the Medical College in Trivandrum, India. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. She began working as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in 2011, spending the majority of her NP career in internal medicine, along with 1.5 years in radiation oncology.  In August 2014, she joined UTMB Health, where she was hired to help launch the new Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at the UTMB–TDCJ Galveston campus. In this role, she played a key part in managing patients and expanding the unit from 14 to 140 beds. Driven by her passion for elderly care, she recently joined the Division of Geriatrics within the Department of Internal Medicine. She also genuinely enjoys precepting nursing students and new graduates. Prior to becoming an NP, she gained diverse experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in bedside nursing, classroom teaching, and care management.

  • Diana Bernardez completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California at Irvine. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012 and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in 2019. Diana joined UTMB in 2022 as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for the Geriatric House Call Program. She is a member of organizations such as the Galveston Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
