Our Values

Overview

The Fellowship program offers a paid six-month assignment in Information Technology Services, providing experience across all service areas. A Master Rotation Schedule is created to manage the Fellow's rotations throughout the program.

Mission

The Information Technology Services Fellowship Program aims to equip emerging professionals with practical skills and experience to support the IT needs of an Academic Medical Center. The program fosters the growth and retention of skilled, diverse, IT professionals who can contribute to UTMB Health.

Am I eligible?

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the UTMB Health, Information Technology Services Fellowship Program must:

be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
hold a degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
be a recent graduate who meets both of the following requirements:
1. Has been awarded a degree that is conferred prior to the fellowship start date; and
2. Has a graduation date that is no more than two (2) years before the fellowship start date.

Selection Process

If you meet the Candidate Requirements you need to complete the Fellowship application. If selected for an interview, you will be invited to a screening covering your:

Motivation for entering the IT field.
Work experience, both in and outside of the field.
Reasons for pursuing the Fellowship at UTMB Health.
Objectives for the Fellowship year.
Interest in the program.
Compatibility with UTMB Health’s mission, vision, and values.
