Research Statement: My current research interests are centered on understanding the host response to SARS-CoV-2 and compound testing to mitigate the impacts of infection. Through the analysis of patient samples, we hope to identify immune markers that could help to predict patient outcomes and in turn opportunities for intervention. Early stage drug discovery work simultaneously provides an avenue for helping to discover a future therapeutic that could one day improve disease treatment.
