The Sealy Center on Aging supports outstanding education and training programs in aging and geriatric medicine.

• Two NIH training programs ( T32 and T35) prepare predoctoral, postdoctoral, and medical students for careers in aging research.  
• Medical students train through the Geriatric Track and clinical/research electives.  
• Residents complete geriatric rotations, and fellows a one-year Geriatric Fellowship. 
• Students and trainees engage in mentorship, workshops, seminars, and the Annual Forum on Aging, where they present research alongside leading investigators and compete for awards.

• Presentations at senior centers, OLLI-UTMB, and the annual Lefeber Hughes Winter Series on Aging
• Caregiver Connection, a biweekly support group in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association.
• AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer opportunities for adults 55+.
• The SCOA Learning Center is open to community members age 55+ for educational talks, computer access, and health resources.
