HCID Frontline Training: Policy in Practice

This session guides healthcare leaders in HHS Region 6 (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas) through the practical application of their HCID response plans. Participants review existing policies, identify strengths and gaps, and apply key procedures to real-world scenarios. Hands-on activities use each facility’s PPE to ensure the training reflects actual workflows, equipment, and decision-making pathways.

HCID Frontline Response: HHS Region 6 Training

This training brings together frontline healthcare personnel from across HHS Region 6 for a full day of hands-on HCID preparedness. Participants learn core HCID concepts, practice PPE skills, and strengthen communication and response strategies through skills stations and scenario-based discussions. Structured for broad regional participation, this session supports safe, coordinated HCID response within and across healthcare systems and is intended for healthcare personnel in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

EMS HCID Frontline Training

This training equips EMS personnel in HHS Region 6 (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas) with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond safely and effectively to suspected HCIDs—from the first call through patient handoff. Participants practice PPE using agency-issued equipment, work through realistic scenarios, and strengthen communication and coordination strategies tailored to EMS operations in Region 6 communities.
