"Strengthening Preparedness Through Partnership" SPECTRE Hosts NETEC-Led Training

Last month, the Special Pathogens Excellence in Clinical Treatment, Readiness, Research, and Education (SPECTRE) program proudly partnered with the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC) to host a specialized training for healthcare professionals across HHS Region 6.

This hands-on training focused on personal protective equipment (PPE) donning and doffing practices, providing participants with expert instruction and opportunities to build confidence in their ability to safely care for patients with high-consequence infectious diseases. Through collaboration with NETEC, the session reinforced core infection control principles, while fostering teamwork and preparedness among frontline healthcare workers.

SPECTRE is committed to advancing healthcare readiness through training, education, and regional coordination. We are grateful to NETEC for their leadership and expertise, and to all participants who continue to strengthen their skills to protect both patients and providers.
