With support from ECHO and PAHO, five countries strengthened dengue surveillance, clinical care, and community engagement during the largest dengue epidemic in the Americas. Through health worker training, improved monitoring, and prevention efforts, the initiative reinforced public health systems and contributed to an average 70% reduction in new dengue cases by April 2025 compared with the previous five-year average.
