In a small department like ours, faculty are often called upon to wear many hats. Dr. Molldrem is no exception, and his impact in our department truly cannot be understated. He contributes both creative and practical perspectives to a variety of departmental undertakings, whether they be grant proposals, curriculum design, or leading collaborative projects. He provides attentive mentorship for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and teaches courses in Public Health Ethics, Interdisciplinary Methods, and Data, Ethics, and Society. He also continues to develop his own research projects, including a new ethnographic project on innovations in diagnostics for tuberculosis.

Perhaps most notably, Dr. Molldrem is exceptionally present in everything he does - you’ll never catch him slacking. He approaches projects with genuine enthusiasm, excellence, focus, and rigor. He is always willing to offer thoughtful feedback to others, regardless of if they are colleagues, postdocs, or students, and his insight has informed many projects being pursued by our scholarly community. He is a generous and supportive colleague and mentor who helps maintain our positive and collaborative departmental culture.
