She is also a clinical ethics consultant for UTMB's hospital system and the Director of UTMB's Clinical Ethics Fellowship. She is a collaborative scholar whose research interests span clinical ethics, pediatric ethics, medical decision-making, end of life issues, virtue ethics and moral psychology. She has a PhD in Philosophy from Monash University in Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Philosophy from the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
