Laith Alzweri, MD has been selected to be Co-Director of the Academy of Master Clinicians (AMC). AMC appointees demonstrate a high level of skills, experience and compassion for patients. Dr. Alzweri was also named the AMC clinician of the month in October 2021 and January 2023.

"Really honored to be nominated for the AMC Co-Director position, my interaction with AMC as a faculty member has been always insightful and inspiring. AMC has helped me develop my clinical practice and provided me with standards to work towards. My two nominations as AMC clinician of the Month for October 2021 and January 2023, in addition to being formally inducted as a member have enhanced my sense of commitment to the academy and for what it stands. I aim to highlight clinical excellence as a vehicle for improving all aspects of providers professional life, where they purse their professional goals at UTMB with profound sense of citizenship, purpose, passion and service.
