The Division of Urology’s recent mission in Tanzania was a remarkable success! With dedication, expertise, and compassion at the forefront, our team embarked on a journey to provide critical care and life-changing surgical interventions
to those in need.
Changing Lives through Global Surgery
During the mission, our dedicated urology team worked tirelessly, performing 135 life-changing surgeries. These surgeries included complex procedures such as vesicovaginal fistula repair, urinary incontinence surgery, and urethroplasty. Each surgery
represented a step towards restoring the quality of life for our patients, many of whom had been suffering silently for years.
In addition to surgical interventions, the mission aimed to improve the overall urological health of the local community. Our Urology team conducted essential screenings and diagnostic tests, finding conditions that required early intervention. These
screenings were instrumental in identifying cases that could be treated through non-invasive methods, preventing future complications.
