Active Sync

ActiveSync allows mobile devices, such as PDA's and smart phones to be synchronized with the Microsoft Exchange Server. Once activated, a four character password will be requested. To receive ActiveSync access, the department must submit the Mobile Authorization Form and complete an ITIM Request (requires UTMB intranet access).

If you currently have calendar and/or contact data on your device and you choose to synch your calendar or contact data with ActiveSync then the data that you currently have on your device will be overwritten with the data on the Exchange server.

Personal devices connecting to ActiveSync will require a one-time activation fee of $35.00.
