Cable Television Service
UTMB provides campus-wide cable television to buildings throughout UTMB
including all patient rooms, student dorms and auditoriums and bills direct
monthly to Department accounts. A complete television network is maintained to
support this activity. The system is two-way, which allows for return
transmission of programming from any TV outlet on the campus network, and
provides television viewing to all parts of the UTMB complex. Programming is
received either via digital satellite receivers, antennas for local networks
affiliates out of Houston or created locally on campus.

Requests for activation should be submitted on the
Telephone, Data & Video Request Form

There is a $45.67 one-time TV activation fee and $6.28 monthly charge. If there
is not an existing TV jack available, additional costs will be involved to
install the TV jack.
