As many as one in 12 men (about 1 in 200 women). reports some level of color blindness

The picture above is an Ishihara plate, which is used as a means of identifying color blindness. This plate has the digit 7 in green circles on a red background, and would be difficult to read for 99% of color blind individuals with red- green color blindness.
