Day 22: What is tactile signing?

Day 22: What is tactile signing?

Tactile signing is method of tactile communication used for people with vision and hearing loss. Instead of visually looking at the signs, the signer signs into the back of the deaf-blind person's hands. There are other methods of tactile communication, such as pro-tactile, hand-tracking, and tactile-finger spelling.  Learn more about tactile language at the Texas School for the Deaf.
