Dr. Qureshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency, as well as a course director in the John Sealy School of Medicine (JSSOM). In her role as a founding course
director for the JSSOM Transition to Residency (TTR) Course, she had the opportunity to grow in areas of teaching and education by creating integral educational materials for simulation and standardized patient experiences. Her impressive achievements
related to the TTR course includes the incorporation of Mobile App technology and the Interprofessional Mock Paging Activity in collaboration with School of Nursing. The TTR course has achieved regional recognition with the Dr. Judith Drew Innovation
Award at the Kenneth I. Shine M.D. Academy of Health Science Education Innovations in Health Science Education Conference (First Place, 2022) and national recognition with a Grand Rounds hosted by the TTR Educators. In her new role as co-director
for the Internal Medicine Clerkship, she has been actively engaged in improving the 3rd year medical school clinical experience.
