Photographs Collection


The Blocker collection contains an extensive photograph collection which documents the people, places and events that cover the entire history of the UTMB. The collection consists of approximately 10,000 photographs of which the vast majority is black and white and date to the founding of John Sealy Hospital in 1890.


Background

The photograph collection consists of approximately 10,000 photographs that document the history of UTMB. The photographs, mostly black and white, date from the founding of John Sealy Hospital in 1890 and include images of faculty and students; buildings; academic programs; patient care; graduation and other ceremonies; and several miscellaneous subjects.

Due to the vast number of photographs in the collection, it is impossible to make them all available for online viewing. Please contact us to see more photographs or get further information.
