How do I locate my classes?
Courses are listed in alphabetical order. By default, all your courses appear on the All Courses list regardless of role, i.e. Instructor, Student, Teaching Assistant, etc.
- Locate and click on Courses in the left side menu (directly underneath the Activity Stream landing page).
- Click on the Filter drop down.
- Courses can be filtered by
- All Courses
- Courses I teach
- Courses I am taking
- Courses I support
- Open courses (available - students can access the course)
- Private courses (unavailable - students cannot access the course)
- Completed courses (unavailable - students cannot access the course)
- Note: “Courses I teach” only applies to the Instructor role. For instance, “Courses I Teach” does not apply to the Teaching Assistant, Grader, and Faculty View Only roles.
- Expand the number of items per page from 25 to 100 to view a longer list of current and past courses.
- Select the purple star on the far-right side of the course name to identify the courses you are taking as a student and/or teaching as an Instructor. These “favorite” courses will be at the top of each filtered list you select.
New Special Feature!! Students can see private courses in their course lists, but they can't access them. If a student attempts to access the course, they will receive a message “You can’t access this course right now. Your
instructor will allow access when the course is ready. Try again later.”
