Register Here:  Biotrain@utmb.edu
Prerequisite:  Biosafety Level 3 Training
Completion Requirement:  Will be able to demonstrate appropriate safety and biological materials handling techniques ensuring personal safety.

Nonhuman Primate Theoretical Training

Nonhuman primate training is mandatory for personnel that will work with nonhuman primates or enter nonhuman primate rooms.  The training program is comprised of didactic and hands-on training.  The training required for an individual is based on the type of work that they will be performing.  All personnel that will have direct or indirect contact with nonhuman primates must be medically cleared by the UTMB Occupational Health program in order to enroll in the training program.

Format:  Theoretical Instructor-led training.
Register Here:  Biotrain@utmb.edu
Prerequisite: None
Completion Requirement:  Theoretical Training test score of 80% or higher.  Will be able to demonstrate appropriate safety and animal handling techniques (not required for room entry only) ensuring personal safety and animal welfare.
