Welcome to summer and to our blog of updates! This is an exciting time for the department, and we are happy to share the enthusiasm that is going on across our missions, as we build and grow. I want to take this time to thank all of you for the contributions you make and all that you do for our patients and our learners. I hope that you have noticed the department evolving, with a greater focus on community, primary care research and education. With new grants coming, and increases in scholarship, to a new six week clerkship and a refocused residency program, we are headed for great things and for broader impact on the communities we serve. There’s lots of interest in our department, from folks from all over, and new faculty will be joining us soon. I hope you are as excited as I am about what’s going on in Family Medicine!
