We had a amazing time over the weekend of October 17-19 with some of our Family Medicine Residency Alumni. We welcomed the Classes of 1998 to 2001 for two days of reconnecting and recharging on Galveston Island. The Department of Family Medicine hosted a Family Fly-In with a Friday evening welcome reception at Hotel Lucine on the Seawall. On Saturday we then welcomed everyone to the Primary Care Pavilion (PCP) for a good ole' nostalgic pizza party. Our alumni met our new chair and he shared our vision for the department. We toured the building, ate pizza, looked at old photos and heard some great memories. Even a few past faculty were in attendance for one or both days. What a great time!
We are currently working on developing an Alumni Society as a resource for our alumni. Stay tuned for more details.
