Dr. Yasin joined the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health in 2023. He is a board certified family physician at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island West. Dr. Yasin earned his Bachelor of Science in computer engineering technology from the University of Houston and his Doctorate of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine on the Caribbean Island of Curacao. Dr. Yasin completed his residency training with the DeTar Family Medicine Residency Program in Victoria, Texas. Dr. Yasin completed his Integrative & Behavioral Medicine Fellowship at UTMB Health. He currently serves as a faculty physician and Director, Employee Health.
Dr. Yasin is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). He also speaks fluent Urdu.
Dr. Yasin's research and clinical interests are in integrative medicine and acupuncture.
