Katharine Williams, DO

Resident Physician

Dr. Williams joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2021. She is a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island East. Dr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Florida.  Dr. Williams  earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Williams  is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Williams' academic and clinical interests include Lifestyle Medicine, Integrative Medicine, preventive care, Women's Health and obesity medicine.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. WILLIAMS

Hey there! My name is Katharine Williams. I grew up in Gainesville, Florida and attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where I studied biology and anthropology. After spending a gap year working as a barista in the Bay Area,  I headed to western PA to attend LECOM for medical school. I ended up in Yonkers, NY for my clinical rotations and then figured I’d try out the Texan life next as my husband and I love adventure and have family in the Austin area.  

As a Schweitzer Fellow during medical school, I explored my passion for working with underserved populations through working with single moms and their families living below the poverty line. My project, centered on nutrition and preventive medicine, this led me to discover my desire to blend my personal passions with my future medical career through the wonderful field of Family Medicine. I hope to continue serving those who need quality healthcare most into the future and beyond.  

In my free-time, I love to make coffee and cook delicious new recipes. I enjoy playing with my recently adopted kitty, doing yoga, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors with my husband Luke. We enjoy watching Gator football and Tampa Bay Rays baseball whenever possible and hope to be traveling the globe again as soon as it’s possible!
