Dr. Abrams is a recent graduate of the UTMB GI fellowship and is excited to continue as faculty in general gastroenterology. Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Abrams completed medical school at The University of Miami and internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. With a keen research interest in understanding how social disparities impact colonoscopy outcomes, Dr. Abrams is dedicated to advancing both clinical care and health equity in gastroenterology. Outside of medicine, Dr. Abrams recently welcomed a baby girl and enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, a surgery chief at UTMB, and their dog.
