We are coming to the close of an extraordinary year at UTMB. Together, we have advanced our education, research and patient care mission with skill and compassion. We have battled a pandemic and adverse weather. We have helped orchestrate a historic vaccination effort in our service area. We have celebrated UTMB’s 130th anniversary of service.
I am pleased to announce that we will be providing Team Awards to eligible employees this year. UTMB’s Team Award program recognizes the efforts and contributions of employees toward the achievement of specific institutional goals and objectives. This year, we achieved institutional financial goals in a very challenging environment.
The university will issue a one-time, discretionary payment of $1,000 on Nov. 12, 2021, to employees who meet the following criteria:
- Completed at least six months of continuous active employment (actual hours worked) during FY21 in a benefits-eligible Classified,CMC, Non-Teaching, Resident and/or A&P position;
- Did not participate in the Faculty Compensation and Incentive Plan, Executive and A&P At-Risk Compensation Plan, or any other incentive plan or program in FY21;
- If under formal corrective action (written warning or higher) at anytime in FY21, has documented performance improvement by Aug. 31, 2021, as determined by their supervisor or manager;
- Received a satisfactory performance evaluation for FY21; and
- Is employed by UTMB on Nov. 12, 2021, which is the date the Team Award payment will be made.
