Health Management at Home with a Companion RobotInterested in trying a social companion robot at home?
Researchers at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) are conducting a study to learn how adults age 65 and older use a social companion robot called ElliQ in their daily lives.
ElliQ is designed to engage users in conversation, reminders, and wellness-related activities. Depending on how it is used, ElliQ may offer:
- Medication reminders
- Appointment reminders
- General wellness check-ins
- Activity suggestions and encouragement
- Opportunities to connect with family and care partners
Researchers are interested in learning about participants' experiences using ElliQ at home.
