Kara Marshall Highlights SPECTRE at National Homeland Security Symposium

Kara Marshall was a panelist for the Institute of Homeland Security Research Symposium, where she joined a panel on "Human Systems Under Pressure Human: Impacts on Critical Infrastructure." Kara provided a unique perspective on this panel as she discussed how SPECTRE helps advance cross-sector healthcare preparedness through evidence-based exercises. As all the panelists emphasized the need for research driven practice in all sectors, Kara demonstrated how outcomes of exercises are used to develop preparedness strategies. The IHS Research Symposium, hosted by Sam Houston State University, enabled SPECTRE to gain visibility among researchers across the country and highlight the impact of our work.
