Following graduation, Vishnu joined the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine as a postdoctoral associate. He is a part of an interdisciplinary, NEH-funded initiative examining the ethical and social implications of artificial intelligence in healthcare. His work includes conducting research with patients and physicians across urban and rural Texas and collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare innovators to understand how AI systems can be designed and implemented in ways that promote trust, equity, and responsible clinical use. This position allows Vishnu to build on his doctoral training in bioethics, science and technology studies, and qualitative research while expanding my scholarship on how emerging medical technologies reshape relationships among patients, clinicians, and healthcare institutions. Vishnu is especially excited to translate this research into practical resources that can inform the development and governance of clinical AI.
