About Me

Evelyn Lamb joined the department in 2025 as a Ph.D. Student in Bioethics and Health Humanities. She holds an M.A. in Germanic Literature, Languages, and Culture, as well as a B.A. in Economics, and a Minor Certificate in Art History, all from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is often grateful for her training in each of these areas, as they provide perspective, communication skills, and critical thinking abilities that are invaluable toward the interdisciplinary work of bioethics and health humanities. Her proudest accomplishment remains her distinction as a Teacher Ranked Outstanding by Students in 2023. Evelyn’s dissertation will examine the healthcare inequities and barriers to healthcare access that exist in the field of commercial aviation. Upon completion of the program, Evelyn hopes to pursue dual employment as a Professor and Clinical Ethicist.
