About Aerospace Medicine Aerospace Medicine Residency The UTMB Aerospace Medicine Residency Program combines the facilities, faculty, and expertise of two great institutions and several partners to provide aerospace medicine training focused on space to the flight surgeons and researchers of tomorrow. Principles of Aviation & Space Medicine A foundation of our program, this course focuses on several areas, including the history of aviation, spaceflight and the specialty of aerospace medicine, human physiology in aviation and spaceflight among others. Human Health & Performance UTMB’s Aerospace Medicine team provides contract support and services to KBR Integrated Science and Engineering Group, the prime contractor for the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
