IBHH Assistant Professor Dr. Stephen Molldrem participated in the 2024 joint
annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Science and
Technology (EASST) and Society for Social Studies of Science (4S). His
contributions to the conference included presenting on the implications
of global health policy frameworks organized around HIV
treatment-as-prevention goals for the governance of sexuality; serving
as a discussant in an “Author Meets Critic” session for the Queer Data
Studies edited volume (to which he contributed a chapter); co-organizing
a two-session Open Panel as part of the US National Science Foundation
(NSF)-funded Knowledge of AIDS (KOA) network (of which he is
Co-Principal Investigator with David Ribes, Marika Cifor, and Andrew
Spieldennder); and co-organizing a lunch meetup for the KOA network. 4S
is the foremost annual conference in the field of Science and Technology
Studies (STS) and is co-hosted quadrennially with EASST.
