Fellow Dr. Trevor Engel organized a Roundtable Discussion at the History of Science Society Annual Meeting

Dr. Engel organized and participated in a roundtable at this year's annual meeting of the History of Science Society, held jointly with the European Society for the History of Science in Edinburgh, Scotland.  The roundtable was titled, "What do Museums do with Collections of Human Remains?" and featured Erin McLeary, Co-Director of the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia; Malcolm MacCallum, Anatomical Museum Curator at the University of Edinburgh; and Laurens de Rooy, the Director of Museum Vrolik at Amsterdam UMC. The roundtable addressed questions of teaching, material culture, care, repatriation, and temporal commitments to collections of human remains.
