Recent UTMB graduate, Dr. Hannah Carpenter, began a Postdoctoral Clinical Ethics Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in July 2026. The fellowship offers advanced training in clinical ethics consultation, ethics education, and hospital policy development. The fellowship also provides dedicated time for scholarly work, allowing Hannah to advance her academic research, including publishing her PhD dissertation and leading new research initiatives that explore the impact of artificial intelligence on healthcare decision-making. Hannah’s fellowship-level work is well supported by her academic ventures and clinical ethics training at UTMB, which prepared her well for the realities of clinical care. Hannah is excited to contribute to improving patient care while developing her scholarly expertise at the intersection of healthcare regulation, equity, and autonomy.
