Welcome to UTMB Health Purchasing

The Purchasing Department, a division of Supply Chain Management, is responsible for acquiring all goods, services, and equipment necessary to support UTMB’s mission of research, education, patient care, and administration. Our team ensures that every purchase aligns with state procurement rules, University of Texas System policies, and compliance standards, while promoting cost efficiency and supplier diversity through the HUB program.

The Purchasing Team oversees day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring requisitioned items and services are processed accurately and in compliance with all governing regulations.

Our primary goal is to deliver efficient, reliable service to meet UTMB’s diverse business needs while leveraging PeopleSoft for streamlined processes. We strive to be recognized as leaders in university procurement through technology adoption and education-driven influence.
