Hello, I am a graduate student in Biochemistry and Molecular biology program.

These are the questions that drive my lab’s work to understand the biology of Toxoplasma gondii, an apicomplexan parasite that infects nearly one-third of the global population.

I grew up in a remote Indian village, where the idea of women pursuing a career in science is very rare. However, during my undergraduate studies, I discovered pharmacology, became fascinated by human physiology and the vast possibilities within science.

I joined UMTB in 2024. My lab mainly focuses on developing and applying computational approaches using physics/chemistry/bioinformatics/machine learning/AI to study Protein-Protein Interactions on both molecular and systems level.

Hello! My name is Prathyushasai Machineni; everyone calls me Sai. I earned my BS and MS in Biological Sciences and Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Houston Clear Lake, respectively. I am a 2nd-year PhD student in Dr. Vineet Gupta’s lab.

I am a second-year BCMB student in Dr. Junji Iwahara's lab and I earned my BS in biochemistry at Nicholls State University in Louisiana.

I am a 5th year Ph.D. student and earned an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. While doing MS, I was also working as a research tech on a project focused on using supraphysiological levels of testosterone as a new line of treatment for Prostate cancer.
