    Aerospace Medicine Expands Access

    The SPPH has launched a new track of the Master of Science in Aerospace Medicine program, expanding access to one of the nation’s most specialized areas of health science education and preparing a broader workforce.

    We are thrilled to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our John Sealy School of Medicine students following the 2026 Match cycle. This year, our graduating class achieved an outstanding 100% match rate, significantly surpassing the national NRMP U.S. MD Senior Match rate of 93.5%.

    SON Faculty and Staff Complete Mental Health First Aid Training

    On March 6, the UTMB School of Nursing faculty and staff completed the inaugural Mental Health First Aid training, facilitated by our partners at the Gulf Coast Center. This training is a key component of the STRONG Nurse Collective, a pilot program supporting nursing student wellness and academic success.

    CRNA Day at the Capitol

    UTMB's Nurse Anesthesia program leadership and students visited Austin to attend CRNA Day at the Capitol on Feb. 2. The annual event, hosted by TxANA (Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists), is an opportunity to advocate for CRNA practice and patient safety by meeting directly with elected officials.
