  • Dr. Al-Hillan earned his medical degree from Al‑Nahrain University College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a hepatology/liver transplant fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and a gastroenterology fellowship at William Beaumont University Hospital, also serving as Chief Fellow. He then pursued advanced endoscopy training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Al‑Hillan specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, advanced upper and lower endoscopy, ERCP, transoral incisionless fundoplication, and innovative third-space techniques such as EPOEM and GPOEM. He is dedicated to the management of complex gastrointestinal diseases and is committed to providing precise, patient-centered care. His scholarly work includes active participation in clinical research, presentations at national conferences, and multiple professional awards. Outside of work, Dr. Al-Hillan enjoys playing tennis, exploring movies and music, and keeping up with the latest technology and gadgets. A hands-on problem solver, he often takes on DIY home projects. Recently, much of his time has been joyfully devoted to caring for his three-month-old baby girl—a rewarding new chapter in his life.
