Dr. Katie Mixon is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine with a focus in hospital medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and completed her residency at UTMB. During her residency, she participated in initiatives aimed at quality improvement, patient safety, and optimizing hospital operations.
Dr. Mixon is certified in central line placement and paracentesis and is board certified in Internal Medicine. She approaches patient care with a compassionate, patient-centered perspective, grounded in a background of community service, leadership, and research.
