Dr. Marcus Ynalvez is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine with a
focus in hospital medicine. Dr. Ynalvez served as a Chief Resident in Internal
Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas,
where he also completed his medical degree and residency. A proud alumnus of
The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Chemistry, Dr. Ynalvez has
demonstrated a deep commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, and
research throughout his training.
During his time at UTMB, Dr. Ynalvez served in
several leadership roles, including Osler Society Representative and member of
the Student Government Association Budget Committee. He was recognized early in
his academic career with the Outstanding Poster in Biochemistry and Biophysics
award for his research on EPAC2 inhibitors.
With a passion for both patient care and the
future of internal medicine, Dr. Ynalvez continues to advocate for excellence
in education, leadership, and service.
