Information Services introduces a new series of presentations designed to introduce the UTMB community to various components of the Office 365 environment. We’re calling it "Office Hours." Please join us for the second Office Hours presentation, focused on the transition to SharePoint Online, on Tuesday, April 9th.

Heard the buzz about iSpace going away? It’s true, and we want to make sure you’re prepared. Join Information Services project team members for an innovative and informative presentation that provides you with more detail about the migration of iSpace data into the SharePoint environment. We’ll also give you a glimpse into UTMB’s SharePoint future!

  • The second SharePoint Session will be on Tuesday, April 9th
  • The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m.
  • The first half-hour of this SharePoint Session will be dedicated to your questions
  • The formal presentation will begin promptly at noon
  • After the presentation, we’ll stick around until 1:30 p.m. to answer any other questions you might have

Mailbox Transition

Beginning in February, Information Services will begin transitioning faculty and staff mailboxes to Exchange Online. The current 600MB mailbox size standard will increase to 100GB in size; over a 16x increase! Information Services is excited to bring the features of Office 365 to University faculty and staff. Seven days prior to your mailbox move, Information Services will contact you via email with additional information (the emails will come from ).

The entire transition of all mailboxes to Exchange Online will take many months to accomplish and we appreciate your patience. If you have any questions or feedback about the Office 365 migration, please email



Information Services has transitioned all students to Office 365. Information Services has begun to migrate faculty and staff mailboxes to Office 365 for the rest of the University community. Office 365 users have a 100GB mailbox quota and 1TB of storage with OneDrive for Business. Users can log in to their mailbox via the web at, then proceed to click on the Outlook Mail icon. Email can also continue to be accessed via the Outlook client and mobile devices.
