User folders in iSpace are moving to OneDrive!
The final phase of the migration from iSpace to SharePoint is about to begin. In a few days, the SharePoint transition team will start copying individual iSpace user folders into OneDrive.
Watch for a notification email communicating your folder migration date and further information.
To access your OneDrive files once they have been migrated, visit the UTMB SharePoint portal: https://sp.utmb.edu/. Once you’ve authenticated, select the “waffle icon” in the upper left-hand corner of the portal page. This will open a menu displaying “Apps” and “Documents.” Selecting the OneDrive icon under “Apps” will open your OneDrive folder within the browser.
You can also use the waffle icon to reach Outlook Online or any of the other Office 365 browser-based applications.
If your UTMB computer is running the appropriate versions of Windows 10 and Office, and you have the OneDrive sync client installed, you will be able to integrate your OneDrive and SharePoint folders into File Explorer. If your computer runs the MacOS, Linux or an earlier version of Windows, you’ll have to use a web browser to access SharePoint and OneDrive.
Note: An important difference between this folder migration and previous migrations of the iSpace Departments and Collaboration volumes is that you will retain read-only access to your iSpace user folder until all folders have been migrated to OneDrive. You will not be able to edit the files in iSpace, nor can you upload new material. Once your folder has been migrated, all interactions with your user folder files will take place in OneDrive.
