Information Services is encouraging full adoption of Microsoft Teams for all virtual collaboration needs if you are not already doing so.  Training for both Beginner and Intermediate Microsoft Teams classes will be available starting in January. The current UTMB Skype environment was retired the weekend of June 4th, 2021

At some point in the near future, Information Services will begin a project to migrate all existing data on S and H network drives into the SharePoint environment. This project will be at least as large and complex as the iSpace migration, and is not yet scheduled. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

  • All iSpace web files were moved to SharePoint/Collaboration/webfiles/documents/departmentname
  • A cross-reference of 7559 old URLs and new URLs was distributed to web authors and owners
  • On July 14, unconverted remaining links were less than ~175

The iSpace CMS, a process used to manage and publish files for UTMB web sites not hosted in Sitefinity, has been converted to a network share. Site authors and editors who were utilizing the iSpace CMS have been migrated and set up in the new process.

Migration of email services from UTMB servers into Exchange Online is complete. Employees who have been migrated generally won't see much of a difference, but their Inboxes will now have 100GB of available storage. Read more...
