The March 18 Town Hall meeting featured discussions about UTMB's key initiatives and accomplishments, finance and the strategic vision for 2025 - 2030.

The Oct. 2 Town Hall meeting featured discussions about UTMB's finances, major achievements over the past year, and strategic goals for the coming fiscal year. The relaunch of the Best Care initiative was also announced.

The March 5 Town Hall meeting featured President and CEO, UTMB Health System, Dr. Jochen Reiser. In his second Town Hall, Dr. Reiser introduced leaders who have recently joined the institution. He also discussed his vision for the future and UTMB's influence on the global stage. The meeting was livestreamed, recorded and is available online for review.

Dr. Charles P. Mouton, president ad interim, executive provost and executive dean, hosted a Town Hall at noon Jan. 31, in Levin Hall Auditorium on the Galveston Campus. The session is now online.

UTMB President ad interim Dr. Charles P. Mouton hosted a Town Hall at noon on Oct. 20. Dr. Mouton provided an end-of-the-fiscal-year update, discussed UTMB’s strategic plan and shared information about UTMB’s legislative priorities for the 88th session of the Texas Legislature.

The June 16 Town Hall was hosted in a new venue, the Health Education Center. The meeting featured updates from President Ben Raimer, a summary of our recent Joint Commission visit, an update from the Academic Enterprise, a financial update, a focus on employee wellness, and other topics of interest.

Town Hall took place at noon on March 24. The meeting featured updates from President Ben Raimer, including the naming of the John Sealy School of Medicine and the latest on the John Sealy Hospital modernization; Dr. Majka Woods provided a profile of our medical student body; and a mid-fiscal-year financial update was discussed. 

UTMB Town Hall was hosted on Dec. 14 at Levin Hall Auditorium, Galveston Campus, before a live audience and streaming webcast. The meeting opened with a performance by Music in Medicine, and featured updates from President Ben Raimer, along with the latest COVID-19 information from Dr. Gulshan Sharma, a construction and facilities master plan update from Steve LeBlanc, and a financial update from Aaron LeMay. A virtual all-employee Town Hall was hosted Oct. 6, 2021 and featured updates from UTMB leadership including President Ben Raimer, Dr. Charles Mouton, Dr. Tim Harlin and Chief Business and Finance Officer Cheryl Sadro. Click title to watch the replay.

UTMB President ad interim Dr. Ben Raimer hosted a virtual Town Hall at noon on July 14 to provide a high-level overview of a new leave program being developed for UTMB faculty and staff. The meeting is now online.

UTMB President ad interim Dr. Ben G. Raimer hosted a special livestream-only Town Hall on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Dr. Raimer provided updates on UTMB's COVID-19 response as well as news on UTMB's financial performance and mission-specific updates for patient care, education and research.

To help increase communication about the virus to UTMB faculty, staff and students, President ad interim Dr. Ben G. Raimer hosted a special Town Hall on Friday, March 6. The meeting provided an update on what we know about the new virus, how our world-class infectious disease scientists are studying it, and how UTMB plans to respond if and when our region is affected.
