Additional Expenses
Students may have additional expenses related to clinical education and program requirements. These costs vary based on factors such as clinical rotation location, number of sites, travel distance, transportation, and parking.
Health insurance is required. Students may enroll in a UTMB-sponsored insurance plan or provide proof of other coverage.
Additional required expenses may include:
- Immunizations
- Drug screenings
- Background checks
- Fingerprinting, when required by a clinical site
- Centralized applications associated with clinical rotations at affiliated facilities
- Transportation, lodging and per diem expenses
Students are responsible for these additional costs.
