Eddie Salazar, PhD, MLS(ASCP)cm is the Chair, an Associate Dean for Professional Development, an Associate Professor of Instruction and Program Director, DCLS program in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science in the School of Health
Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).
Dr. Salazar received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Texas Medical Branch, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Characterizing
Interprofessional Education in CLS from the Texas Tech University.
Dr. Salazar also serves as a member of the ASCLS DCLS National Committee. His scholarly interests include advanced practice in clinical laboratory sciences, interprofessional education, educational technology, and curriculum development.
