Biography

Leah Greene Williamson, MHS, PA(ASCP)cm, MLS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).

Mrs. Williamson received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Brigham Young University and a Master of Health Science in Pathologists’ Assistant from Quinnipiac University.

Professor Williamson is a highly trained and experienced medical laboratory scientist and pathologists' assistant that has served in leadership positions in academic and industry settings for more than 10 years. Throughout her studies, she has had the opportunity to train at multiple prestigious academic medical institutions across New England, the Midwest, and the Southern United States. Currently, Leah serves as the Director of Clinical Education for the Pathologists' Assistant program at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Her commitment to education is further demonstrated by her ongoing pursuit of a doctorate in Professional Leadership with an Emphasis in Health Science Education from the University of Houston. With her broad range of experience and expertise, Leah is a valuable asset to any program discussing the intersection of healthcare and education.
