Maria A. Caravedo obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in 2013. After medical school, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital program in 2019. After residency, Dr. Caravedo moved to Galveston to complete her subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases. She is currently involved in Tropical Medicine research as part of Dr. Cabada’s laboratory research team. She is currently finishing a Master’s in Clinical Science at UTMB. Dr. Caravedo joined our faculty as an instructor in 2022.
