Nechelle McClendon has recently been appointed as the Business Coordinator for the Division of Infectious Diseases. She officially joined our team in December 2023, and we are delighted to have her onboard.
In her new role, Nechelle will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support to the faculty and staff of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Her responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks such as making travel arrangements, purchasing, scheduling, processing reimbursements, managing calendars, and timekeeping. Nechelle's diverse skill set and background make her an excellent fit for this position. Nechelle has a wealth of experience from her previous roles, including her most recent position as an Enrollment & Medication Coordinator at UTMB Health from November 2020 to December 2023. In this role, she planned, directed, and coordinated activities for the Ryan White Program, showcasing her ability to delegate tasks efficiently and establish effective program procedures. Nechelle also interviewed and educated designated patients with identified HIV diagnoses, provided resources and education to meet their health and social needs, and played a crucial role in enrolling new clients in the Ryan White program and assisting existing clients with necessary updates, as well as facilitating access.
