Guidelines within the lab:
- No food or drink is allowed in the lab.
- Good laboratory practices must be followed.
- PPE (gloves, gown, no open-toed shoes) is required.
- Door must be closed at all times.
BLS-2 samples for the Sorters:
- Aerosol Management system must be turned on.
- 20 minutes is required at the end of each appointment for cleaning.
- This should be included in the appointment time.
- 10% bleach must be run for 10 minutes on a sample flow rate of 11.
- Followed by EtOH and Water for 5 minutes each on a sample flow rate of 11.
- Wipe down/disinfect sort block and Bulk injector.
- Use red containers for waste.
- Wipe down/disinfect work area after finishing use.
