Karthik Mani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health Professions. He received his entry-level degree in occupational therapy (OT) in India from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and his post-professional doctoral degree in OT from Chatham University, Pittsburgh.
He gained several years of clinical and administrative experience, across multiple practice areas, both in India and the US prior to joining as an Assistant Director of External & Regulatory Affairs at the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in 2013.
Dr. Mani has presented in various state and national conferences and published three books and several articles on occupational therapy.
Dr. Mani founded the Vijaya Occupational Therapy Centre in 2006 and continues to provide consultation via telerehabilitation to his clients in India, as needed. In 2019, he founded the Indian Occupational Therapists Think Tank, a scholarly group, along with a few like-minded OT professionals in India.
